Meet the Coaches of CrossFit Bass Coast
Charlotte Bolding
I didn’t start with CrossFit.
I spent years training in traditional gyms—working hard, but often second-guessing whether any of it was actually working. The effort was there, but the direction wasn’t.
Finding CrossFit changed that. For the first time, my training had structure and purpose. It was no longer about simply working harder; it was about applying that effort well, understanding why we were doing what we were doing, and seeing genuine progress because of it.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve coached people at every level—from complete beginners to competitive athletes. I’ve also experienced both ends of training myself, including what it means to return to the gym as a mum. Each of those experiences has shaped the coach I am today.
In my classes, you’ll be guided through every part of the session. We begin by learning to move well, then build confidence, consistency and intensity over time. Training is adjusted to the individual, so you’ll be challenged at a level that is appropriate for you.
My background in mobility, gymnastics and weightlifting also influences the way I coach, with a strong focus on movement quality, efficiency and progress that lasts.
I especially enjoy working with people who aren’t sure where to begin, those who are ready to move beyond feeling stuck, and athletes looking to refine their performance. More recently, I’ve developed a strong interest in supporting mums to continue training through pregnancy and return confidently postpartum.
Wherever you’re starting from, you’ll be coached, supported and progressed at the right pace for you.

I can still empathise with the person new to the gym environment, because that was me.
Our gym environment made me love fitness, love suffering with others and love wanting more for myself.
The group environment, a coach who wants group success and a competitive push. These are all things that our gym thrives on and the same thing that made me love football which I have played for 20 years.
As a coach my role is to help you relive my experience. Help you enjoy your time in the gym while also push the needle in regards to your fitness.
I have always enjoyed other people's success as much as I my own, which is what makes coaching so enjoyable for me.

I was never athletic growing up - I remember how nervous I felt stepping into my first CrossFit class, not knowing what to expect and afraid to look foolish.
I've now been training at CrossFit Bass Coast for over five years, and I cannot imagine life without it! I greatly value the sense of community and camaraderie we create in our gym, and I bring that with me to my coaching.
In my classes, you can expect a safe and encouraging environment, with movements and guidance tailored to your level of experience, along with lots of smiles and great friendships!
If you're nervous about taking that first step, I'll be here to guide you and support you every step of the way.

I’ve been part of CrossFit Bass Coast since it opened in 2017, first as a member and now as a coach since November 2025. Before CrossFit, I played team sports like netball, basketball, and later AFL, where I saw firsthand how much CrossFit improved my fitness and overall performance.
I was drawn to CrossFit for its variety, skill progression, and the incredible community that comes from training alongside others. The constant challenge of learning new movements and improving technique has kept me hooked from the start.
Coaching became a natural next step for me. In my classes I’ll support you to understand the workout stimulus, move with confidence, and realise you’re capable of more than you think. I’ll bring the energy - whether that’s 6am or 5:45pm - and be your hype girl when you hit a PB. Watching you hit a new skill and walk out of the gym with a grin on your face is what makes coaching so rewarding for me.
I enjoy creating the best hour of someone’s day — supporting you to move well, train hard, and keep improving both your fitness and your belief in yourself.
