ABOUT US
About Us
CrossFit Bass Coast is based in Wonthaggi, in the heart of the Bass Coast community.
We are not a franchise gym.
We are a coaching facility—built on structure, standards, and a long-term approach to health and performance.
Our focus is simple:
Deliver training that works, and coach it properly.
CrossFit Bass Coast was built from a clear observation.
Before stepping into a CrossFit gym, Owner and Head Coach Charlotte, trained across a range of traditional gym environments. The common pattern was hard work—but very little direction.
People were showing up, putting in effort, but not making meaningful progress.
There was no clear system. No consistent coaching. No accountability to standards.
CrossFit changed that.
For the first time, training had structure.
Movements had purpose.
Progress could be measured.
And coaching played a central role.
It wasn’t just about working hard—it was about applying effort in the right way.
That experience shaped what CrossFit Bass Coast is today.
A place where:
Training is structured
Coaching is consistent
Standards are upheld
And progress is built over time
We work with people at all stages—those new to training, parents returning to it, and experienced athletes.
The common ground is not fitness level.
It’s a willingness to be coached and to train with intent.
Our role is not just to run classes.
It’s to apply the methodology correctly—
and to educate our members on how to support their training through:
Nutrition
Sleep
Stress management
And sustainable lifestyle habits
We take our responsibility seriously.
Because when someone chooses where to train, they are placing trust in the people coaching them.
If you’re looking for a place that values structure, coaching, and long-term progress—this is what we do.
What We Believe
Training should have direction.
Effort matters—but applied correctly, it leads somewhere.
Coaching matters.
Movement is taught, standards are upheld, and progress is guided—not left to chance.
Consistency builds results.
Not intensity alone, not motivation—consistent, well-applied training over time.
Health is multi-faceted.
Training is one part. Nutrition, sleep, and stress management all play a role.
Anyone can start.
But progress comes from being coachable, showing up, and doing the work.
